CLUB TRAINING
For divers looking for regular pool training in Sydney, the best way to get started is by joining the Sydney Freedivers Club. currently hosting 3 formal training sessions a week at Coogee diggers, Knox grammar and Annette kellerman aquatic center allowing for open training or group training drills. training caters to all levels from complete beginner looking to get started to more competitive divers looking for a place to train for upcoming events. sessions range from freestyle self guided training to coached sessions depending on venue.

For certified divers simply attend a half hour safety induction brief before training to assess your safety skills. Please contact Sydney freedivers about a brief before attending training.
For non certified divers you will have to attend a beginners pool course provided by Apnea Australia, a low cost introduction that will give you all the knowledge and basic tools to get you started with effective training exercises. after attending the course you will also be eligible for a discount on your next level of training with Apnea Australia. Courses run for a day and will involve classroom and pool training modules.

DEPTH TRAINING
Training and fun dives for depth are organised regularly through Sydney freedivers events. keep and eye out for the Sunday social diving, night dives inside the harbour and boat dives. Social dives and any fun activity dives occur twice a month and are open for all to attend. Find out more
Boat dives
Boat dives are organised regularly from spring to Autumn through Sydney dive charters and will launch from Rose bay wharf. The boat is a high powered kevlarcat allowing us quick access to many of Sydneys hidden gems. sessions cost 120$ for a 4 hour charter allowing us to access multiple dive sites around sydney with ease such as the wrecks of the Royal Sheppard (28m) Annie Miller (43m) HMAS Adelaide (32m) or the emerging seal colony at the gap off the back of south head.
To join boat dives you must hold a current freediving certification. floats and ropes will be provided on the day. all dives are organised through Sydney Freedivers
